This was an independent study project done as part of my Computer Science curriculum. The goal was to create
a specialized message composition and reading client that would integrate text and images simultaneously. The
idea behind the layout was inspired by studies done on peripheral vision and memory--by keeping the user's
attention on the center of the display while reading the message, the images (which are tied to key words in the
text) take on a greater association with the text, both in memory and meaning.
To see the client in action, check out the instructions for usage, then use
the sample text provided:
Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven"
